Artist’s workshop

The goal was to create a space where one person or two people could live - at least during the warmer months of the year. Lots of daylight and a sufficiently sized entrance for the sculptor’s large blocks of granite were also essential. Furthermore, the existing dry stone walls, the remains of a ruin in which the workshop was to be installed, had to be integrated into the “new building”. A special luxury above the large window, more or less embedded into the roof, is a terrace with shower where you can enjoy the sun from dawn to dusk - hidden away from prying eyes. The facade and roof panelling consists of slate roofing felt.
